Film Literacy 2008
Defective Yeti's New Year's Resolution is to see all of the AFI's 100 Greatest Movies of All Time that he hasn't yet seen. I'm stealing his idea, only I'm not making a resolution of it because I can't commit to anything lately. I'm only using it to stock my Netflix queue, and as fodder for National Delurking Week (and the last day even, so go nuts!).

Which of the haven't-seen movies below should I see immediately because if I don't we can't be friends anymore? Which ones should I not bother with? I have seen exactly half of them -- can you beat that? (Probably.)

Idiosyncracies
Like Kelly who tagged me, I've never gotten hit up for one of these meme things. She was all apologetic but really, I'm not going to pretend to be too cool for school. It's not like I have to sign up for mail-order pet meds in order to score someone a free iPod.
So, five idiosyncracies:
1. I can't smell, never could smell. (So if the fabric I sent to my recent swap-ees smelled like ass, I'm so sorry! I forgot to have my husband do a sniff-check!) Yes, I can taste, but I can't taste herbs, garlic, can't tell good from bad wine.
2. I am a compulsive lock-er of car doors (e.g. I'll lock the doors when I'm just running back into the house for something.) It comes off as paranoid, but really it's just reflexive. It bugs Bryan because I often trip the auto-locks before he gets out.
3. I am entertained by AM talk radio call-in advice shows whose target demographics I am so very much not in: Christian advice and Christian financial planning, consumer empowerment, and (cringe) Dr. Laura. Please find comfort in the fact that I'd rather eat a heapin' helpin' of asshole pie than listen to Rush Limbaugh, though.
4. I, along with three straight male pals, was on a bowling team (named after my other site) that by accident joined a gay bowling league. It was awesome and we came in eighth.
5. I still don't have a cell phone, don't want one, and am bummed I pretty much have to get one for my new job.
Tagging: Greg (fellow Excitement Machine member), brand spanking new mom Melanie, my new neighbor who I still haven't hung out with Caro, and web-friends Stacey and Lisa.
