Up For Swap
Anyone in a swapping mood? I have some things I'm purging.

First off, a pair of crochet books, nay, epics, from 1985. It's a huge collection of instructions and patterns in two two-ring binders. The individual patterns are booklets that you can take out of the binder for easier reading as you crochet. The patterns are equally divided between classic, vintage-cute, kitschy, and delightfully hideous, as shown (respectively) below:

(classic!)

(vintage cute and classic!)

(vintage cute!)

(kitschy!)

(hideous!)
There are dozens upon dozens of patterns. Here's a list of all the sections:
Crochet Know-How
Accessories & Gifts for Women
Afghans & Baby Blankets
Babies & Toddlers
Bazaar Bestsellers
Casual Wear for Women
Decorative Throw Pillows
Edgings, Finishings & Trims
Gifts for Family & Friends
Holidays & Christmas
Home Furnishings
Lace Patterns
Purses & Totes
Tablecloths & Placemats
Textured Stitches
Toys & Stuffed Animals
Women's Fashion
And the second swap lot, a sort of starter kit of the new punch needle embroidery tools from Clover. I tried it out but never got the hang of it -- maybe you'll have better luck.

Embroidery Stitching Tool (which I have opened and assembled, but the packaging and instructions are still intact) for 3-ply thread, includes needle threader

Refill Needle for single-ply thread (unopened)

special glue to fix the backside of your embroidery.
And what am I looking for? A little vintage fabric, vintage buttons, or maybe even something cheap off my Crafts/Inspiration wish list on Amazon. Or surprises! Anything. Let me know in the comments if you're interested!

Crochet Me
In addition to the new online knitting magazine Magknits, there's also the promising Crochet Me. There are enough excellent knitting patterns online to keep you and I busy forever and ever, but less so with the crochet, so I'm glad someone is filling this niche. Not that I know how to crochet, but the fire is there.
