The Hop Skip and a Jump quilt blocks are together, trimmed, and now in the arrangement phase on the design wall. Wooohoo! More notes on the Flickr page.

Very cool! You're right, digital pictures sure do help to see areas that need a little tweaking. You've inspired me to make one myself. ;-)

I just picked up a copy of her book. Nice to see a version other than her's. It looks fabulous. Now I'm going to have to track back on your site and find your Pie in the Sky, too.

coincidentally, I just finished my Hop Skip and a Jump quilt top last night. it is interesting to see how different yours looks. using more patterns and not using an alternating dark/light scheme makes the strips seem less wobbly and more subtly different.

nice work!

I'm just wondering if you know how many different fabrics you used? Do you think "more is better" for this pattern? I've got an idea for pink, brown, white, cream and maybe some blue thrown in. I'm trying to figure out if I have enough variety yet. Thanks, Debbie
