Fabric Couldn't-Wait-Till-Friday Edition
From Quilter's Buzz: A sneak peek at Denyse Schmidt's "Flea Market Fancy" fabrics, to be released in spring. What do you think? If you noticed the peacock blue, orange, lime green, and brown theme in the book, you won't be shocked at the colorways. I especially love the dotted leaves, the polka dots, and the geometric calicos. They're actually not as vintage-repro as I thought they were going to be, but still so nice!
UPDATE: Jessica has a beautiful photo of the fabrics in more colorways here . I don't know how she managed not to grab them and run away, laughing maniacally. She went to a DS workshop! Her full report is here. *Swoon*

I think the previewed fabrics are really appealing to the eye (IMHO). I need to make a summer weight quilt soon and I can see how these would make a fabulous quilt. My only questions is what will the cost be?

The fabric looks pretty retro to me.. and I live by the rule: if you used it the first time, you are too old to use it the second time around.

I am glad eveyone seems to like Denyse's fabric! I have been in contact with Amy Butler too and will hopefully soon be posting a sneak peak of her new lines from Westminister Fabrics.

Let me tell you-- I made sure that I touched every one of them. Denyse said she was going to cut it up and give us each some (I was getting so giddy I thought I'd overflow), but then her assistant Richard put his foot down with a "NO!" I guess what I have in that photo is ALL she has of it herself. *sigh* So, I have to wait like everyone else, but how cool would that have been?!?! I can still dream about it, you know. 34 different fabircs all together...

Love, love, love it!
Retro, a bit, but more a fresh way of looking at some unusual colors.
And I live by the rule: Don't wear it if you wore it the first time around, cut it up and make something new out of it!
