:: January 24, 2006 Fabric Couldn't-Wait-Till-Friday Edition
From Quilter's Buzz: A sneak peek at Denyse Schmidt's "Flea Market Fancy" fabrics, to be released in spring. What do you think? If you noticed the peacock blue, orange, lime green, and brown theme in the book, you won't be shocked at the colorways. I especially love the dotted leaves, the polka dots, and the geometric calicos. They're actually not as vintage-repro as I thought they were going to be, but still so nice! UPDATE: Jessica has a beautiful photo of the fabrics in more colorways here . I don't know how she managed not to grab them and run away, laughing maniacally. She went to a DS workshop! Comments I think the previewed fabrics are really appealing to the eye (IMHO). I need to make a summer weight quilt soon and I can see how these would make a fabulous quilt. My only questions is what will the cost be? Denyse said she was going to cut it up and give us each some (I was getting so giddy I thought I'd overflow), but then her assistant Richard put his foot down with a "NO!" I guess what I have in that photo is ALL she has of it herself. *sigh* So, I have to wait like everyone else, but how cool would that have been?!?!
