Dioramarama: Catboy

Our sweet cat Catboy has died. He had heart failure of some kind on Thursday night. He wasn't old but he did have heart problems, so this wasn't unexpected, but still so horrible. I'm very upset this morning because I don't have enough pictures of him. In fact he crawled up on my yarn-covered table to wreak havoc while I was machine knitting a few nights ago - I called Bryan in and said "If I was one of those cat-lady knitbloggers I would take a picture of this." Why why why? Anyway. These are some good sleeping/cuddling pictures but they don't capture his real badass nature. He definitely lived fast and died young. He wrestled with dogs and people's limbs, loved the ladies (in his neutered way), went crazy with the fluttering sheets when you made the bed, ambushed birds and maybe even some squirrels, demanded early-morning feedings and outside-letting, and slept hard, usually on his back. If you said his name while he slept his tail would twitch. He was so good looking: white and gray with beautiful green eyes.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about the little guy. He looked like quite the personality. It's always so hard to lose a part of the family like that.

so so sorry for your loss.... he looks like a badass.... keep those memories close. sometimes they are even better than photos...

Sorry to hear about Catboy. I lost my pup, Mary at Thanksgiving due to heart problems. Even though their passing was expected, it is still hard, I know.

i'm sorry to hear about Catboy. that's was a great name for a cat, and what a wonderful eulogy you gave him.

i'm so sorry about Catboy. i lost my cat really suddenly and unexpectedly three years ago. fun memories of him always pop up when i'm reminded of him and never fail to make me happy.

So sorry about Catboy. I lost my dog last year and am still upset about it.

Sorry for your loss. Catboy was a cutie pie. When I lost my cat suddenly a couple of years ago I started a quilt in memory of him and it helped me through the healing process.

My heart aches for you. I can't even think about losing one of our 'dogboys'. I'm so sorry for your loss.
