:: June 3, 2005 Tie One On
Angry Chicken is starting a monthly, themed apron sew-along called "Tie One On." The first theme is Home on the Range. I've never sewed an apron before, though I have some patterns in the ol' archives. Then in a thrift store today I happened upon the baddest-ass Western-themed fabric you will ever see. I won't reveal it yet, but know that it came in the form of 70s kids' curtains that were starched all to hell, and it involves licensed cartoon characters. So the cosmos are telling me to participate. I think I will use this pattern, which is view E from McCall's in-print pattern 3979:

Comments Look at all the patterns!! I made the Butterick 6567 pattern on the upper left (with the ruffles)... the only problem I had was they tell you you need 2 1/4 feet of rickrack for the edging. I bought one package, which is 2 1/2 feet... and I was about a foot short! Argh. It's a nice pattern though.
